Sportsko rekreacijski centar PG Geler
is located in the heart of Gornje Međimurje, in Mali Mihaljevec, only 10 minutes drive from the town of Čakovec and 20 minutes by car from the border with Slovenia and Hungary. The Geller estate covers 3 hectares of land, offers a beautiful view of the church of St. George on the Hill and is located at the very end of the village, so it is surrounded by forest and greenery. In this area there is a unique monument to forests due to the large number of forest owners, almost 2000 of them.
Adrenaline park
is close to the Nature Park Bedeković Grabe, which has had the status of a protected natural monument since 2002. The park is important because it is home to two critically endangered species of diurnal butterflies throughout Europe, strictly protected by the Nature Protection Act – Veliki livadni Plavac and Zagasiti livadni Plavac. Bedekovićeve grabe are included in Natura 2000, the largest coordinated ecological network of protected areas in the European Union. PG GELER is an adrenaline park and more. We respect nature and do business in a sustainable way. With us, our guests push their boundaries in the adrenaline park, we offer accommodation in wooden (eco friendly) houses, offer local food and drinks, various workshops, and we organize the HOG RACE event.
Traditional cheese
As a part of the adrenaline park, you will have the opportunity to visit the tasting room of the traditional cow’s cheese Turoš. Turoš, also known as “Prgica”, is a type of cow’s cheese to which salt and ground red pepper are added, and it is recognizable by its specific shape – cone and characteristic orange-red color. After forming into a cone, the cheese is dried in the sun or by smoking.
Međimurski konj – indigenous horse
Two units of the indigenous horse live on the estate. Međimurski konj or Međimurec is a Croatian wild breed of cold-blooded horse, originated in today’s Međimurje County and in the past was extremely important because it was used for land cultivation and transport, until the arrival of tractors and machinery. Today, there are only 37 units in Međimurje, which is why it belongs to purebred breeds endangered by extinction. We want to keep our identity by preserving the tradition and top Međimurje specialties.
